The Consumer Bankers Association (CBA) is a member-driven trade association focused on retail banking, and it describes itself as a retail banking trade association since 1919. Its policy and advocacy work includes engagement with federal legislators and regulators, analysis of and engagement with the CFPB, comment letters, and data and research on retail banking. Its events and education programmes include CBA LIVE, advanced education courses, webinars and the Executive Banking School, which it says has more than 6,000 graduates from over 70 years of bank leadership education. CBA also operates a political action committee (CBA PAC) and a committee structure through which members take part in its work, and its board is made up of senior retail banking executives.
