About
The Indonesia Fintech Association (AFTECH) is a platform for fintech operators in Indonesia to advocate and collaborate with stakeholders to drive technological innovation and the competitiveness of the country's fintech industry. It grew out of a first fintech community meeting in March 2015, was formally established as a legal entity in March 2016 and opened membership to the public in May 2016. In 2019 the Financial Services Authority (OJK) designated AFTECH as the Association of Digital Financial Innovation Organizers (IKD) under POJK No. 13/2018. Its members include registered fintech operators across business models, digitally oriented financial institutions and technology companies in Indonesia's digital financial services ecosystem. Its activities rest on four pillars, namely policy advocacy, community collaboration, financial literacy and education, and knowledge development, and it is chaired by Pandu Sjahrir.
