This policy explains what personal data Let Fintech Grow! collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
Let Fintech Grow! ("LFG!", "we", "us") is a fintech newsletter, podcast and verified directory of fintech companies, investors and scaling partners at letfintechgrow.com. LFG! is owned and operated by Ian Horne Media Ltd (company number 16880678), registered at 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 5PF, which is the data controller. What we collect, and why
- Newsletter subscribers (via beehiiv): your email address and engagement data such as opens and clicks. Basis: your consent when you subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Leaderboard: the name, email and company you give us, and your activity on the site. Your name and company may be shown publicly on the leaderboard. Basis: consent.
- The directory: business and professional information about fintech companies, investors and scaling partners, including the names and roles of the people associated with them, their category and the regions they operate in. Full records (websites, headquarters, descriptions) are shown only to subscribers. Basis: legitimate interests.
- Site analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across sites, and Google Search Console for aggregated search data. Basis: legitimate interests in understanding and improving the site.
- Directory unlock: to release the full directory we check your email against our subscriber list. Basis: providing the service you asked for, and legitimate interests.
- Technical data: our host (Netlify) and Cloudflare keep standard server logs, such as IP address and request data, for security and delivery. Basis: legitimate interests in security.
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The site uses functional browser storage only: your light or dark theme choice, and your directory-unlock state.
Who we share it with
We use reputable service providers who process data on our behalf: beehiiv (newsletter), Netlify (hosting), Cloudflare (delivery and cookieless analytics), Google (Search Console and Fonts) and Brandfetch (company logos). Some are based outside the UK. Where data is transferred internationally it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy or Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell your personal data.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are listed in the directory and want your entry corrected or removed, use our corrections and removals process; we make it easy and act promptly. To exercise any right, contact team@letfintechgrow.com. We aim to respond within one month.
Retention
We keep subscriber data until you unsubscribe and for a reasonable period afterwards, directory data for as long as the listing is maintained, and server logs for a short period for security.
Children
The site is intended for fintech professionals and is not directed at children under 18.
Complaints
If you have a concern we have not resolved, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
