About

LAVCA is the Association for Private Capital Investment in Latin America, a not-for-profit membership organisation supporting the growth of private capital in Latin America and the Caribbean. It was founded in 2002 with support from the Multilateral Investment Fund of the Inter-American Development Bank and has its office in New York. Its members include private equity, venture capital and real estate fund managers, development banks, fund of funds and secondaries investors, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices and corporate investors. LAVCA publishes research such as its Industry Data & Analysis reports and Trends in Tech, runs events including LAVCA Week and the annual Deal Awards, and produces the bi-weekly Private Capital Update and Venture Bulletin newsletters.
