US Faster Payments Council

About

The US Faster Payments Council (FPC) is an industry-led membership organisation working to advance the adoption of faster payments in the United States. It is open to all stakeholders in the US payment system and uses collaborative, private-sector approaches to address the issues that hold back faster payments adoption. Members take part in work groups on topics including fraud and scam mitigation, cross-border real-time payments, operational considerations for instant payments, instant recurring payments and digital assets such as stablecoins. The FPC holds member meetings, including its 2026 Fall Member Meeting in Overland Park, Kansas, runs the Faster Payments Barometer industry survey and publishes reports such as Payments Modernization in the U.S.
