About

SIFMA is the trade association for the US securities industry, bringing together broker-dealers, investment banks and asset managers to advocate on capital markets policy. It states that it has more than 500 member organisations and over 100 years of industry advocacy, and its activities span advocacy, research, news and industry events, including an annual meeting and an annual Capital Markets Outlook report. It has offices in New York and Washington, DC. Its global affiliates are the Global Financial Markets Association (GFMA), the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME) and the Asia Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA). The SIFMA Foundation has run youth financial education programmes since 1977, and Kenneth E. Bentsen, Jr. is SIFMA's President and CEO.
