Nasscom (National Association of Software and Service Companies) is the industry association for India's technology sector, established in 1988. It has more than 3,500 member companies, from startups to multinationals, spanning products, services, global capability centres and engineering firms. The association says it represents an industry it puts at $315 billion, and it works with industry, government and academia on policy advocacy, research and publications, talent skilling and market development. Its focus areas include DeepTech, SMEs, business process management, engineering R&D and global capability centres, and it runs regional councils and events for members.
