Techstars is a global accelerator and pre-seed investor that has backed early-stage startups since 2006 and held its first accelerator programme in Boulder, Colorado. Companies in its accelerators receive $220K in capital and three months of mentorship-driven support, plus access to its network of mentors, investors and corporate partners. Finance is one of its highlighted verticals, and its programmes include the ABN AMRO + Techstars Future of Finance Accelerator and the Techstars London Accelerator, alongside city and sector accelerators in places such as Boston, New York City, Chicago and Tokyo. It also runs Founder Catalyst, a pre-accelerator programme, and Startup Weekend events, and names Remitly and Chainalysis among its portfolio companies.
