Alacrity Canada, legally the Alacrity Foundation of B.C., is a nonprofit organisation registered under the BC Societies Act that provides scale-up support to small and medium-sized technology companies. It has more than 15 years of experience running programmes that combine training, advisory support, investment and funding opportunities, and access to a global network of advisors. Its current programmes include ARC Lab, which helps founders scale technologies for civilian and defence markets, the APEX Program, which helps SMEs overcome barriers to global export, a 12-month Startup Visa Program for entrepreneurs immigrating to Canada, the Fulbright Canada Entrepreneurship Initiative and the CleanBC Plastics Action Fund. The organisation states a commitment to supporting clean innovation and sustainable business practices, and its founder and board chair is Owen Matthews.
