Y Combinator is a startup accelerator that runs a three-month programme for early-stage companies. The programme runs four times a year, in winter, spring, summer and autumn, and startups are grouped under YC partners who advise founders in one-on-one and group office hours. YC invests $500k per company: $125k for 7% on a post-money SAFE and a further $375k on an uncapped SAFE with an MFN. Its first batch ran in summer 2005, and its startup directory lists more than 5,000 companies, 578 of them in financial technology and services. Fintech companies from its batches include Stripe, Coinbase, Razorpay, Groww and Wave.
