Uncork Capital is a seed-stage venture firm, founded in 2004 by Jeff Clavier under the name SoftTech VC. It has focused on one stage, seed, for more than 20 years, aims to be the first major check on the cap table and often leads seed rounds with an initial investment of about $3 million to $5 million. Its partners have invested in more than 290 companies, and it is currently investing from Uncork VIII, a $225M seed fund, and Uncork Plus III, a $200M opportunity fund.
