byFounders is a venture capital firm built by a collective of founders that backs founders in what it calls the New Nordics. As a generalist fund it holds no sector thesis, aims to be a company's first investor, and invests in the same share class as founders, with its term sheet published online. It works alongside the byFounders Collective, a group of more than 35 founders, operators and angels from the region who advise portfolio companies and help evaluate investments. Its portfolio of 65 companies includes Lovable, Corti, Safetywing, Monta and Lucinity. The investment team includes founding partner Eric Lagier and partners Magnus Hambleton and Sara Rywe.
