Sutton Bank is a privately held, independent Ohio community bank whose Sutton Payments division works with fintechs and other organisations on card programmes. Attorney Lester Sutton founded the bank in Attica, Ohio, in 1878, and it also offers personal, business and agricultural banking and lending. Sutton Payments supports prepaid and debit products, including general purpose reloadable, payroll, corporate disbursement, gift, and incentive and reward cards, along with programme enhancements such as earned wage access and early direct deposit. It reports more than 140 active card programmes and more than 12 network partners. Its payments history includes the Amway prepaid card programme in 2001 and a partnership with Cash App in 2016, and it has also worked with fintechs including Highnote and Qolo.
