Start-Up Chile

Start-Up Chile is a public startup accelerator run by Corfo that supports founders from Chile and abroad. It grew out of a 2010 idea to attract international entrepreneurs to Chile, and it gives selected startups equity-free funding, co-working space, mentoring, connections to investors and corporates, and visa support. It runs three programmes: Build, a four-month pre-acceleration programme for early-stage startups with 15 million Chilean pesos in equity-free funding; Ignite, a four-month programme for startups with a functional product with 25 million Chilean pesos; and Growth, an eight-month programme for expansion-stage companies with 75 million Chilean pesos. More than 3,000 startups and 6,000 founders from over 85 countries have taken part, and alumni named on its site include NotCo, Lab4U and SimpliRoute. Its programmes include a gender-focused initiative called Female Founder Factor.
