STAR Network is a full-service debit payments network owned by Fiserv, offering point-of-sale, ecommerce, card-not-present debit, ATM and funds transfer services to its members and their cardholders. It supports PIN, PINless, signature, ecommerce, bill payment, ATM and tokenised transactions, including contactless and digital wallet payments. Its STAR Access service provides single and dual message signature debit routing for ecommerce, card-not-present, point-of-sale, mobile and in-app transactions, and the network also supports expedited disbursement of debits and credits for person-to-person, business-to-consumer and business-to-business payments. The network states that it serves more than 115 million debit cardholders from over 2,800 issuers. Optional programmes for members include Stop Payments, for cancelling and blocking one-time or recurring bill payments, and Online Account Updater, which provides updated card account information in real time.
