The Merchant Advisory Group (MAG) is a Minneapolis-based organisation that brings merchants together on payments issues through collaboration, education and advocacy. It represents more than 200 merchants across sectors including airlines, retail, restaurants, insurance, grocery and software, with engagement across North America, Europe and Asia. Membership is open to merchants only, and the MAG also runs a sponsorship programme. Its advocacy covers the cost of payment acceptance, payment fraud, open standards and competition in in-person and digital payments, and it is a member of the Federal Reserve's Mobile Payments Industry Workgroup. Its events include Payments MAGnified, the MAG Payments Conference and the MAG Payments Summit Singapore, and it also runs committees, special interest groups, working groups and the MAG Learning Center.
