About
FinTech North is a regional fintech hub and ecosystem facilitator for the North of England, with a community of more than 9,000 people. It was created in 2016 by Whitecap Consulting and White Label Crowdfunding, with its first event held as part of the inaugural Leeds Digital Festival. It runs events across Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire, Liverpool City Region and the North East, most of which are free to attend, and it is not a membership body. It supports public sector bodies such as the FCA, Bank of England and Department for Business and Trade with regional engagement, and has been a founding member of the FinTech National Network since 2019. It is self-funded through sponsorships and partnerships and runs skills and international trade initiatives under FTN Skills and FTN International.
