Central 1 Credit Union (Central 1) provides payments and treasury services to Canadian credit unions and other financial institutions. It states that it processes more than 645 million payments a year on behalf of 295 financial institutions, with services including e-Transfer, wires, international transfers and liquidity management, plus an Enterprise Fraud Management tool built into its payment solutions. Its treasury business offers deposits and investments, funding and liquidity, and derivatives and foreign exchange, and it acts as group clearer to the Bank of Canada for Canadian credit unions. It also provides trust services, risk, fraud and AML compliance solutions, and economic research through its Economics Centre. In October 2026 it announced the appointment of Mike Henry as President and Chief Executive Officer.
