Avaloq is a Swiss provider of core banking software and wealth management technology for financial institutions. Founded in Zurich in 1985 as BZ Informatik, the company adopted the Avaloq name in 1996 and became part of the NEC Group in 2020, and it describes itself as a subsidiary of Japan-based NEC Corporation. Its platform is available as SaaS or on premises and covers digital channels, client management, investment management, trading, lending, payments and compliance, alongside banking operations (BPaaS) and managed services. Clients include private banks, wealth managers, investment managers, and retail banks and neobanks, with more than 170 clients in 35 countries. The company has more than 2,500 employees working across 11 countries.
