responsAbility is a Zurich-based impact asset manager that invests in emerging markets with the aim of generating financial returns alongside social and environmental impact. Founded in 2003, it works across three investment themes, Financial Inclusion, Climate Finance and Sustainable Food, and reports investing in about 70 countries. In financial inclusion it offers private debt and equity products covering microfinance and SME finance, and alongside direct investments and investments in financial institutions it also manages fund investment mandates. It offers investment solutions to professional and retail investors and, since 2023, has acted as portfolio manager for the Swiss Investment Fund for Emerging Markets (SIFEM), the Swiss government's development finance institution. responsAbility has been part of M&G plc since 2022.
