Surge is the seed investment programme of Peak XV Partners for founders at the earliest stage of company building. It invests from US$500,000 up to US$5 million in seed capital from Peak XV, with an open structure that allows co-investors to join. Alongside capital, Surge provides hands-on support across hiring, product, policy, communications and PR, engineering, go-to-market and global expansion, as well as sector-specific founder communities. Companies listed on the Surge site include Airalo, Atlan, Khatabook, Plum and the home loan marketplace Ambak, and the programme reports more than 170 companies and 400 founders. Peak XV began in 2006 as Sequoia Capital India, later expanded into Southeast Asia, became Peak XV in 2023 when Sequoia Capital restructured its global business into independent entities, and lists offices in the US, India, Singapore and the UAE.
