About
OPTrust administers the OPSEU Pension Plan, which was established under a sponsorship agreement between the Province of Ontario and OPSEU/SEFPO. It officially began operating on 1 January 1995. It is governed by a ten-member Board of Trustees, five appointed by OPSEU/SEFPO and five by the Government of Ontario. It reports more than $27 billion in net assets, and its investment goal is to increase the likelihood of the plan remaining fully funded over the long term through what it calls Member-Driven Investing. Its investment team is based in Toronto, London and Sydney.
