About
Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital is the growth-focused private investment platform within Morgan Stanley Investment Management. It targets growth equity and credit investments in later-stage private companies across technology, healthcare, consumer, digital media and other high-growth sectors. In 2017 and 2018 it closed the North Haven Expansion Credit and North Haven Expansion Equity funds, the latter focused on proprietary deals such as first institutional rounds, growth carve-outs, founder liquidity and select secondary investments, primarily in North America and Western Europe. At that time the platform was headed by Pete Chung. Past investments include HighQ, a legal collaboration software company it backed in 2015 and sold to Thomson Reuters in 2019.
