This is a rich and valuable theme. As many of you know, I spent three years as head of content for Money20/20. It's the industry's biggest show, and my remit was to create and curate content that went the extra mile, the sort of content that makes people scribble notes and rush to share a lesson or story with their teams. I won't lie, my eyes always lit up when someone was willing to open up about a fuck-up.

If you know what matters, you'll know that the failure isn't the point. When we share stories like this, we help others avoid the same mistakes, and we can explain how we grew from the experience. That's what we're going to do on October 30th.

You will be in excellent company. I'm co-hosting with David Barton-Grimley, who many of you will know from his fantastic work at 11:FS and elsewhere. He'll not only co-host but also share a story of his own.

I'm excited to share the panellists with you too. We've got genuine business leaders involved, including:

  • Carrie Osman, CEO & Founder of Cruxy
  • Conrad Ford, CPO & CSO of Allica Bank
  • Shalom Osiadi, CEO & Founder of Esca

I won't give too much away, but we'll hear about hiring mistakes, marketing mishaps, untested GTM strategies, poor prioritisation, and investment errors. The sort of things that can sink a business if they aren't addressed quickly.

This will be a gripping webinar. Feel free to share the registration link with your friends and colleagues, and likewise you are welcome to share your own stories during the webinar. We're making time for that.

To be part of the audience, register on Luma and enter your details. This will be a unique mixture of honest reflections, insights, and entertainment. We'd love to see you there.

*I will die a long, slow, painful death before I unironically write 'spooktacular' in the body of an article.
