Wamda is an organisation that supports entrepreneurship ecosystems across the Middle East and North Africa through investment, media and research. Its investment vehicle, Wamda Capital, runs a sector-agnostic, multistage venture fund that backs technology and tech-enabled startups in the Middle East, Turkey and Sub-Saharan Africa, and partner companies listed on its site include Tabby, BitOasis, Careem, Mumzworld and RemotePass. Its knowledge platform publishes news, op-eds, podcasts and research reports, including monthly reporting on MENA startup funding. Wamda also runs Wamda X, a grant-based fellowship programme for founders. Through its partner projects it offers content creation, community development, research, acceleration and training programmes, and advisory services for corporates and governments.
