Volta

About

Volta is a Halifax-based hub for founders and builders across Atlantic Canada and describes itself as Atlantic Canada's AI-first hub. It began more than a decade ago as a founder-led community and runs a physical hub in downtown Halifax while supporting founders in all four Atlantic provinces. Its AI Residency is a programme for Atlantic Canadian AI startups that combines self-driven learning, founder meet-ups and optional one-to-one coaching, aimed at validating market need and reaching paying customers. Its AI Productivity Lab works with small and medium-sized businesses to apply AI to a defined business problem alongside a local builder. Volta's community offering also includes events, peer connections and coworking.
