Trustly is a Stockholm-headquartered pay-by-bank and open banking payments company that lets consumers pay, receive payouts and get refunds directly from their bank accounts. Launched in Stockholm in 2008, it offers products for payments, recurring payments, deposits, payouts across borders in Europe and data services that use open banking and KYC data to verify customers, alongside Azura, a data engine designed to speed up checkout. Its growth has included a merger with PayWithMyBank and the acquisitions of Ecospend in the UK and SlimPay in France, and it has offices in cities including London, Helsinki, Barcelona, Lisbon, Ottawa and San Carlos. It serves sectors including e-commerce, travel, financial services, gaming, utilities, subscription services and the public sector, and its site reports 12,000 banks in its network and 9,000 merchants served. Trustly Group AB is an authorised Swedish payment institution supervised by Finansinspektionen, and Trustly UK Limited is an authorised payment institution regulated by the FCA.
