Spencer Stuart is an executive search and leadership consulting firm. Its founder, Spencer Stuart, started the firm in Chicago in 1956 after working in the executive search division of Booz Allen Hamilton. He set up an office in Zurich in 1959 and opened offices in New York, London, Frankfurt, Paris and Mexico City during the 1960s. When he retired in 1974, he made his entire shareholding available for purchase by a group of employees, establishing the firm's partnership culture.
