Silent Eight is a financial crime compliance technology company whose AI agents make alert decisions in areas such as sanctions, AML and fraud. Its current platform, Iris 7, launched in 2025, is designed to replicate the investigative judgement of experienced analysts across high-volume compliance operations. The company began in Singapore, joining the JFDI.Asia accelerator programme in 2015, and raised seed funding led by Wavemaker Partners later that year. In 2018 Standard Chartered deployed its AI platform within its sanctions compliance operations. Its 2019 Series A of $6.2m included OTB Ventures, Wavemaker Partners and SC Ventures.
