Sift is a fraud prevention company that uses machine learning and AI to help digital businesses detect and stop fraud across the customer journey. Active in fraud prevention since 2011 and operating as Sift Science, Inc., it offers products including Payment Protection, Account Defense and the Sift Score API, aimed at payment fraud, account takeover and fake account creation. Its platform also includes AI agents that review cases, investigate users and keep workflows tuned, among them an Attack Detection Agent for spotting emerging attacks. The company reports that its data network scores more than 1 trillion events a year from over 34,000 sites and apps, and that it serves more than 700 customers, including DoorDash, Yelp and Poshmark. The company is led by CEO Marc Friend.
