Paystack is a payments company that helps businesses in Africa accept online and offline payments, and has been part of Stripe since Stripe acquired it in October 2020. Shola Akinlade and Ezra Olubi founded it in Lagos in 2015, and Akinlade is its CEO. A single integration lets businesses take payments through channels including cards, bank accounts, bank transfers, USSD, POS, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa QR and mobile money, and its APIs cover one-time and recurring payments, instant transfers, transaction and customer data, and customer identity verification. It also offers fraud detection and reporting tools, serves businesses from startups to large corporate and government organisations in Nigeria and international brands accepting payments from across Africa, and has country pages for Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya and Côte d'Ivoire. It lists offices in Lagos, Accra, Nairobi, Abidjan, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Dubai and South San Francisco.
