Heidrick & Struggles is a leadership advisory and executive search firm founded in Chicago in 1953 by Gardner Heidrick and John Struggles. Its services span executive search, leadership consulting such as board effectiveness, CEO succession planning and executive assessment, corporate transformation, on-demand talent including interim executives, and organisation and culture work. The firm became publicly traded on NASDAQ in 1999 and returned to private ownership in 2025, when it was acquired by a consortium of investors led by Advent International and Corvex Private Equity.
