About

FinTechNZ (FinTech New Zealand) is the not-for-profit industry body for New Zealand's fintech sector. Founded in 2016 and funded by its members, it is one of Tech New Zealand's 16 connected communities. It brings together banks, insurers, wealth managers, fintechs, investors, regulators and policymakers, and works with government on policy areas including New Zealand's open banking regime and consumer data rights. Its activities include events, research, advocacy and working groups such as WealthTechNZ, as well as the annual FinTech Hui Taumata. The organisation also supports startups and scaleups through capital connections and international market development.
