Fintech Saudi is an initiative that the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) launched in April 2018 with the Capital Market Authority (CMA) to support the development of Saudi Arabia's fintech industry. It sits under the Financial Sector Development Program of Saudi Vision 2030 and is governed by a committee of SAMA and the CMA. Its work covers communication, events and initiatives, including office hours with fintech experts, meetup sessions with regulators such as SAMA and the CMA, a fintech accelerator, Fintech Summer Sessions and a job portal. It also maintains the Fintech Map listing fintech companies, an ecosystem directory of service providers interested in partnering with fintechs, and a regulatory assessment tool that explains the regulatory pathway for a firm's activities. The initiative states that it is not a fintech company and does not build fintech products.
