Its platform combines digital banking and payment authentication with risk intelligence, including 3-D Secure products, and it brands its authentication approach as Context Aware™ Authentication. Founded in 2008 in Stellenbosch, South Africa, the company has received investment from Accel-KKR and Pape Fund Managers and acquired Modirum's 3-D Secure business. Entersekt states that it serves more than 900 banks across over 70 countries, and it lists offices in Atlanta, London, Munich, Oslo, Tallinn, Stellenbosch and Ebene, Mauritius.
