About

DMZ is a tech incubator and startup ecosystem founded in 2010 at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). Its core programmes are an 18-month Incubator to help startups scale and become investor-ready and a 9-month Pre-Incubator focused on winning first customers. It also runs partner programmes such as Validator, a 10-week programme for Black founders, alongside a Startup Legal Support Centre and free virtual Launchpad platforms for aspiring, women and Indigenous entrepreneurs. DMZ Ventures, its for-profit investment arm operating under TMU, invests in startups from DMZ programmes, and DMZ also offers corporate partnerships, advisory services and a franchise model for other regions. Abdullah Snobar is Executive Director of DMZ and CEO of DMZ Ventures.
