About

Cable is a compliance technology company that automates the testing of financial-crime and other regulatory controls for banks and fintechs. It launched in 2020 after co-founder and CEO Natasha Vernier, then leading the financial crime team at Monzo Bank, saw that existing tools could not prove whether financial-crime controls were actually working. The platform offers automated control testing, automated risk assessment and third-party oversight, and supports frameworks including the US Bank Secrecy Act, Regulations B, E and Z, UDAAP, the UK Money Laundering Regulations, Ireland's Criminal Justice Act and Bermuda's financial-crime regulations. Testing runs after controls have operated rather than in the onboarding or transaction flow, with data connected via API, SFTP or integrations such as Snowflake, BigQuery and Alloy. Its website states that Cable has been acquired by Synctera.
