Bredin Prat is an independent French law firm with offices in Paris and Brussels. Founded in 1966, it was first known for litigation and arbitration and began expanding its corporate law practice in the 1980s. Its practice areas include corporate/M&A, securities law, banking and finance, restructuring and insolvency, tax, competition and European law, digital law and intellectual property, and financial services and insurance regulation. The firm has almost 220 lawyers, including 56 partners, and its Brussels office, opened in 1999, serves international clients whose decisions are affected by European regulatory requirements. For cross-border work it collaborates in integrated teams with the Best Friends, a network of independent firms that is not a formal alliance, and it says cross-border transactions represent two-thirds of its activity.
