Akoya is an open finance data access network that lets consumers share data held by their financial institutions with authorised apps through APIs rather than screen scraping. Established in 2020, it connects financial institutions, including small and mid-sized banks and credit unions, with data aggregators and fintechs through a single integration, and consumers can grant, modify or revoke access at any time. Its API products cover balances, customers, payments, accounts and investments, transactions and statements, supporting use cases such as account opening, personal financial management, lending, wealth management and payment enablement. Its site cites more than 4,500 financial institutions and 7,500 apps on the network. Akoya has hubs in Boston, New York City and Raleigh.
