Sagard is a global multi-strategy alternative asset manager active in venture capital, private equity, private credit and real estate, and it also offers private wealth management through Sagard Wealth. Founded in 2016, it reports over US$47 billion in assets under management, some 570 professionals and over 190 portfolio companies. Its fintech activity runs through Portage Ventures, launched in 2016 as a global early-stage fintech venture capital strategy, and Portage Capital Solutions, launched in 2022 to provide flexible equity capital to later-stage fintech and financial services businesses. In 2016 it also launched Diagram, a venture builder that creates technology companies in fintech and climate tech. Its offices include Montreal, Toronto, New York, London, Paris, Abu Dhabi and Singapore.
