About
The Public Investment Fund (PIF) is Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund. Established in 1971 by royal decree, it was placed in 2015 under the direction of the newly formed Council of Economic and Development Affairs, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and acts as a driver of the Vision 2030 economic programme. PIF reports more than $900 billion in assets under management and organises its holdings into Financial, Vision and Strategic portfolios, investing both domestically and internationally. Its Private Sector Hub connects entrepreneurs, investors and suppliers with opportunities across its portfolio companies. In 2026 it launched Tawrid to provide supply-chain financing products in Saudi Arabia.
