Portage is a fintech investor that operates within Sagard, a global alternative asset manager, and says it invests exclusively in fintech. Its strategies include Ventures, which backs seed to Series B companies with cheques of $1M to $30M, and Capital Solutions, which invests $30M to $150M in growth-stage companies with $20M to $500M+ of revenue. The firm says it has invested in more than 15 countries and backs both consumer and enterprise businesses. Portfolio companies get access to a Partnerships program that makes introductions to banks, insurers and other financial institutions, and to a team of more than 20 value-creation specialists covering go-to-market, compliance, M&A, AI and cybersecurity. Companies shown in its portfolio include Wealthsimple, Marshmallow, KOHO, Uala, Moss and Xceedance.
