KB Investment is the venture capital and private equity investment company of South Korea's KB Financial Group. It was established in 1990 as Jang Eun Venture Capital and, after operating as Kookmin Venture Capital and then KB Venture Capital, became an affiliate of KB Financial Holding in 2008 and took its current name in 2009. Its portfolio spans ICT and software, bio and healthcare, e-commerce and services, hardware and materials, and gaming and content. Most portfolio companies are based in Korea, with others in the United States, Southeast Asia and India. Portfolio companies listed on its site include Indian investment platform Smallcase Technologies, payment system provider Soft Space, P2P finance platform Honest Fund and no-code subscription payments provider Step Pay.
