Kaszek is a venture capital firm that invests mostly in technology companies targeting Latin America as their main initial market. It was founded in 2011 by Hernan Kazah and Nicolas Szekasy, who previously worked together at MercadoLibre, and is led today by seven partners. Its early-stage funds invest from pre-seed and seed through Series B, while its opportunity funds invest from Series C through pre-IPO, across sectors including financial services, healthcare, education, ecommerce, marketplaces and software. The firm states that it has raised more than $3 billion across nine funds, and portfolio founders quoted on its site include those of Nubank, Creditas, Kavak, QuintoAndar and NotCo. Kaszek has local presence in Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Montevideo and São Paulo.
