Kakao Ventures is the venture capital arm of South Korea's Kakao, founded in 2012 as K-Cube Ventures. It invests mainly in ICT and software companies from seed to Series A, and its investment professionals cover deep tech, services, digital healthcare and gaming. The firm reports more than 280 portfolio companies, over US$300 million in assets under management and more than 11 funds. It calls its portfolio companies its 'family' and runs networking groups for them by topic, neighbourhood and business type, plus an annual Family Day.
