IVP is a later-stage venture firm that has invested since 1980 from offices in San Francisco and on Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park, and opened a London office in 2023. It typically invests at Series B or C once a company shows product-market fit, partnering with around a dozen companies a year, with initial investments usually of $15 million to $75 million. Its focus areas include application SaaS, enterprise infrastructure, AI, fintech, digital health, gaming and consumer internet, mostly in North America and Europe, including Israel. The firm reports around 400 investments and more than 130 IPOs, with portfolio examples including Coinbase, Slack and CrowdStrike, and European investments such as Wise, UiPath and DeepL. Its London entity, Institutional Venture Partners UK LLP, is an appointed representative of an FCA-authorised firm.
