Forerunner Ventures is a venture firm that invests early in companies built for people, from consumer applications to AI-native infrastructure. Founded in 2012, it reports nearly $3B in assets under management and is led by founder and Managing Partner Kirsten Green with Managing Partner Eurie Kim. At Seed and Series A it most often leads or co-leads, with initial investments typically up to $20 million, and it also makes new investments in companies with product-market fit approaching key inflection points. Fintech companies in its portfolio include Chime, which it backed in 2013, and Monarch Money, a personal and household finance platform it backed in 2025. Portfolio founders have access to Runtime, a hub that brings together the firm's programmes, partners, events and founder network.
