About
The Fonds de solidarité FTQ is a Québec development capital investment network, created in 1983 by the Fédération des travailleurs et travailleuses du Québec (FTQ), that uses workers' savings to support businesses in all regions and sectors of the province. Its mission rests on four pillars: creating, maintaining and protecting jobs, training workers, developing the Québec economy, and encouraging retirement savings. It invests development capital and venture capital in eligible Québec enterprises, with sector teams for financing above $5 million, regional teams for $250,000 to $5 million, and local teams for amounts under $250,000. As at May 31, 2026, it reported more than 828,000 savers and shareholders and more than 4,600 partner companies. Its network also includes the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ for real estate projects and Fonds de solidarité FTQ Bioénergie for biomethanization projects.
