First Circle Capital is an early-stage venture fund that invests in fintech founders across Africa. It invests at pre-seed and seed stage, often as a company's first institutional investor, and then brings in further capital from its network. The fund was co-founded by managing partners Selma Ribica and Agnes Aistleitner Kisuule, and as a female-founded fund it aligns with the 2x Challenge. Portfolio companies listed on its site include Power (earned wage access), TurnStay (travel-sector cross-border payments), Opareta (infrastructure for mobile money agent networks), Orca (fraud orchestration), Balad (remittance infrastructure), Credrails (open banking infrastructure) and Pumpkn (financing for SME agribusinesses).
