Fabric Ventures is a thesis-driven venture firm that has backed Web3 companies from pre-seed to growth since 2012, with a current focus on what it calls the machine economy. It began under the Firestartr brand to back seed-stage founders in Europe, and from 2017 it focused on digital assets and blockchain under the Fabric name, with backing from the European Investment Fund. Its limited partners include institutional investors, Web3 founders and high-net-worth individuals, and it runs entrepreneur-in-residence activity under the R[3]sidency brand in partnership with Coinbase. Portfolio companies named on its site include Immutable, NEAR, 1inch, Flowdesk and Hifi. Fabric Ventures LLP in London is an appointed representative of G10 Capital Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and its fund management company is based in Luxembourg.
